“Good day gangsters,” was how Los Angeles MC Killer Reese One and DJ/producer Troublemaker, King Fantastic, greeted me in my e-mail announcing the release of their EP and invitation to their release party in the coming week. King Fantastic’s style is similar to their sound: crisp and clean yet indulgently filthy. Their motto, “Gangster never left,” always rings true because their music is a throw back to gangsta music of the 80s and 90s. Their music is balanced by Troublemaker concocting some of the most creative and hard hitting beats that are out their. Killer Reese always laces the track in great fashion. After you hear the first track, G Sharp, starts with a riff that makes you feel like “Gangsta Never Left.”
